Hippie Girl

Quirky. Groovy. Recorded at home. Released because it was time to stop tinkering.

The best part is still coming.

The beach office

Music finds me here.

A blanket, a baritone uke, a tiny speaker and whatever happens next.
Some days it's just covers.
Some days it's more.

Some go further.

Every part of Hippie Girl grew one layer at a time. Some ideas stayed, others disappeared, and a few surprises—like the shakers—became part of the song's personality.

One more layer

Two shakers. One hand.

Two shakers, played together in one hand, help give Hippie Girl its unmistakable pulse.

About Iggy Pot

Where I play.

I spend a lot of afternoons at the beach with a baritone uke, a couple of blankets and no particular agenda. Most days I'm just happy to play. Every so often, an idea is worth bringing home.

This site exists because of the people I've met on the beach. Thank you for listening, inviting me to your fires, and reminding me that music is better when it's shared.

A little more...

Simple things.

I don't chase perfection. I like honest songs, simple arrangements and making music because I enjoy it. If something I write connects with someone else, that's a pretty good day.
